The book is another bland offer of Satan to proof Christianity as a lie. Did someone hired Dan Brown to wrote a heretical book that will mislead millions away from the will and plan of God. Satan has the blessing for Dan Brown's heretical lies against Jesus and for his distortions of history. Majority of people are ignorant of:

The biblical history
The Gnostic gospel history
The Jewish history and culture

"The Code" is mainly represented in the paintings of the Mona Lisa and the Last Supper. In the Last Supper Dan Brown claims Mary Magdalene is the one at the right side of Jesus instead of St. John. It is obviously false because Da Vinci painted the 12 apostles with Jesus, and one of them was St. John not St. Mary Magdalene. Dan Brown claims that Jesus and Mary Magdalene are the centerpiece of the painting which is clearly wrong when you look at the Last Supper where Jesus is the only centerpiece. The ironic smile of the Mona Lisa, says Brown, represents the one of Mary Magdalene, the disciple of Jesus, while she was, Brown states, his partner, lover and wife.

The Erroneous claims of Dan Brown (The text in red)

The Da Vinci Code claims that the canonical gospels are not earliest Gospels but the Gnostic gospels.

The book also claims that the 4 canonical gospels were selected from 80 other gospels.

Dan Brown primary references were the 2 Gnostic gospels (the Gospel of Peter, and the Gospel of Thomas) which the authority of Scriptures and scholars rejected.
The Gnostic gospels are all lies.
The Gospel of Thomas and the Gospel of Peter were written in the latter part of second century A.D.
The New Testament was completed in 70 A.D. of the first century or more than 160 years ahead of Dan Brown's Gnostic gospel.
The Gospel of Peter blames the Jews for the crucifixion - it is anti-Semitic
The Gospel of Thomas, claims women must become men in order to receive salvation - it is chauvinistic
Therefore Dan Brown is anti-God, anti-Christ, anti-Bible, anti-Semitic, and anti-women.

The Dead Sea Scrolls and the Gnostic texts found at Nag Hammadi are the earliest Christian Records.

The Dead Sea Scrolls are strictly Jewish documents.

There is also absolutely no evidence that any of the gnostic documents were written before the late second century AD anyway.

Jesus Christ never claimed to be divine and was never worshipped as a deity until the Council of Nicea in 325 A.D.

Jesus is called God seven times in the New Testament and is called Lord in the divine sense several times.
The New Testament predate the Council of Nicea, and that these were first century beliefs.
The Heresy opposed by Nicea was not the denial of Christ's divinity, but the denial of His perfect humanity.

Christianity borrowed its beliefs from the pagan religion of Mithraism.

Mithraism worshipped the pre-Christian God Mithras, called the Son of God and Light of the World, who was born on December 25th, died, was buried in a rock tomb, and then resurrected in three days.

Nowhere is Mithras given the title Son of God and the Light of the World.
So what if Mithras was born on December 25th! The New Testament never associated December 25th with the birth of Christ.
It was the pseudo-Christianity who made December 25 as the birthday of Christ not the Bible
The claim that Mithras died and was buried in a rock tomb is just not true. Scholars will tell you that in Mithraism there is no death of Mithras at all.
Therefore, there was no rock tomb and no resurrection.

Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene. Jesus kissed Mary Magdalene in the lips. The Gospel of Philip was written in Aramaic.

The New Testament never mentions Jesus being married or even suggests it.
Dan Brown twisted the lie of the Gospel of Philip 63:33-36 making it a double lie. It was an "passing of breath" (spirit) from one person to another, not a lips to lips kiss (Romans 16;16a).
It was written in Coptic.
Dan Brown twisted the word "companion" to become 'spouse". The word used for companion is koinonos and it means companion, not spouse. .

Christianity honored the Jewish Sabbath of Saturday, but Constantine changed the day to coincide with the pagan veneration day of the sun.

The Gnostic gospels of the Nag Hamadi texts depicted Jesus as a sort of divine figure while the canonical Gospels reveals Christ humanity.
If the the Council of Nicea were to set out to destroy any trace of Jesus' humanity it would have destroy the 4 canonical Gospels.

It was highly unusual for a Jew not to be married, and so Jesus was almost certainly married.

The Dead Sea Scrolls documented a whole Jewish community which practiced celibacy.

The Gnostic Gospel of Mary is about Christ entrusting the Church to Mary Magdalene.

The Gnostic Gospel of Mary is about Jesus appearing to Mary Magdalene after the resurrection with a Gnostic revelation which she immediately bring to the disciples, and the disciples then arguing about whether or not Jesus would entrust such an important thing to a woman.
It is not about entrusting the Church to Mary.

Dan Brown claims that it was about Da Vinci Code.

Da Vinci was Leonardo's birthplace not his surname.
The book should be call "The Leonardo Code", not "The Birthplace of Code"

What made The Da Vinci Code a bestseller? Satan is prospering anyone who will worship him. Matthew 4:9 says, "And he said to Him, All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me". Satan is a liar and the father of all lies. John 8:44 says, "You are of the Devil as father, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and did not abide in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own, for he is a liar and the father of it".

Satan is in business of prospering anyone who is willing to carry out his policy of good and evil.

Dan Brown interpreted the Scripture using Leonardo's paintings. Human intelligence is not a factor in understanding the Word of God. Religions are the result of trying to interpret the Bible by means of human wisdom and experience. Nobody can understand, perceive and apply the Word of God apart from: Salvation - regenerated by the grace and power of God, Filling of the Holy - appropriated through grace provision of rebound, and the Bible doctrine functional in the soul as frame of reference for understanding other doctrines. The key factor for understanding the Scripture is spirituality not human intelligence or experience.

Dan Brown made some good expose' about the Roman Catholic church for which reason the Vatican is trying to stop the showing of the Da Vinci Code movie. If only Dan Brown focused on those factual expose' and not on fictional revelation, then his book could have served as turning point for many deceived to leave the Catholic Church.
